Bridge Fan
A fan in marker: the China–Maldives Friendship Bridge, towers high, reflections below, autumn trees on the bank.

Studio notes
For a cable-stayed bridge you set the towers first, then pull the cables one by one; the curve of the fan bends every line slightly, which only makes it more true.
The water is short horizontal strokes for the reflection, with a few whites left as glints.
I first saw the bridge in the news; only after painting it did I look it up and find out how long it really is.
A bridge is a straight line you draw — and one you carry.
